We arrived in Paris eight hours later than original flight time due to numerous delays on American Airlines.
After dropping our things in our apartment, we decided to walk over the world and see the pyramid at night
This morning we headed out into our neighborhood to find coffee and breakfast
We ventured out to the Chateau de Versailles this morning and found the line to tour the palace to be an intimidating meandering line of people waiting hours to simply enter so we decided to forego the palace and tour the gardens instead. When the guidebook suggested that Versailles be avoided on Saturdays, Sundays, and Tuesdays it was joking. The massive crowds were everyone. It was also a beautiful sunny day that I'm sure brought out everyone imaginable.

While there certainly are the joys of being able to share Paris my two teenage daughters, it has certainly required more flexibility with them and their lack of desire to venture out into the city as much as I would like. It's been a blessing to take this trip with them but I'm reminded that they need downtime after the stimulus of a big city.
Wondering around the Eiffel Tower for the afternoon, we found ourselves lounging around the grass amongst many tourists and Parisians. It was entertaining to see people picnicking and couples spending quality time together.
